KINGSTON, Jamaica; Tuesday, May 20, 2025: The Tourism Workers Pension Scheme (TWPS), a landmark initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, last Friday (May 16) marked another critical milestone with the official signing of a contract with Victoria Mutual Pensions Management, which has become one of its newest investment fund managers. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Tourism and represents a strategic move to strengthen the Scheme’s long-term sustainability through prudent risk management and portfolio diversification.

Jamaica and Panama Sign Multi-Destination Marketing and Airlift Agreement

The funds will assist with hurricane relief following the passage of Hurricane Dorian last year, as well as for the development of the Disaster Risk, Resilience & Readiness Assessment in the Caribbean Tourism Sector Study.

Bartlett to attend Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Bahamas

KINGSTON, Jamaica; January 21, 2020: Tourism Minister Hon Edmund Bartlett departed the island yesterday to attend the Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Baha Mar, Bahamas. While there, he will participate in several business meetings and will form a part of a panel on a forum entitled “Caribbean Tourism Pulse: 2020 and Beyond”.
